Select French Homes was created in order to respond to the ever growing interest British buyers have in the acquisition of property in France.

We specialise in the region of south-western France and have established contacts with professionals in each of the départements between Biarritz on the Atlantic coast and Montpellier on the Mediterranean, with whom we communicate on a daily basis so that we are able to bring to the market properties that have only just themselves been released onto the French market.

Not only do we collaborate with Agents in France enabling us to offer a comprehensive catalogue of properties of many hundreds to suit all tastes and pockets but also with English Agents to give their clients a further service.

We are able to arrange appointments for you, offer help at any stage of the procedure and generally guide you through what may seem to be a daunting exercise.

You will be dealing with Damon McGuinness, Managing Director of the company, who has extensive experience in the market having been an Estate Agent in France for 12 years, the last two of which with his own Agency, Wellc'Home, based near Toulon in the Var département. Born in the UK, Damon moved to Austria at the age of 16 and then to France in his early twenties. Having successfully passed the C.A.P. (Certificat d'Aptitude Professionnelle) examination in real estate, he was employed by, and literally taken under the wing of, a couple of very successful professional estate agents with whom he spent the next ten years of his working life. Subsequent diplomas gained him the French Professional license enabling him to open his own property agency.

Legal Matters
The majority of Britons buying in France tend to submit all documents to a UK law firm dealing in French legal matters. It is their role to provide you with a report on and/or a translation of the documents, giving you, therewith, the assurance that everything is in order before you apply your signature. We can recommend tried and tested law firms with whom we have collaborated over a number of years.
